Tabla tuition for London students
Taal Music Academy is a specialist tabla academy based in London, founded by performer and educator Sachin Khetani. Our teachers work with children and adults across the city, teaching the traditional Guru–Shishya approach alongside a clear, modern lesson structure.
Students learn technique, repertoire and rhythm — theka, kayada, palta, tihai, tukra, rela, gat and paran — across taals including Tintaal, Jhaptaal, Rupak, Ektaal, Dadra and Keharwa, with the option to prepare for graded examinations.
Lessons are available one-to-one, in small groups, or online for families anywhere in London and beyond. Every student is invited to perform at our showcases, cultural festivals and temple events.
